This block,handcrafted from start to finish, came as a result of our recent discovery of an extraordinary match between a high quality Niangon Wood and Wenge wood.

Niangon is very durable wood and it is extremely resistant to weathering and moisture. It looks like mahogany with a white greyish sapwood and a brownish-red heartwood. Fine wood with high hardness, Niangon has a luxurious look that makes it suitable for furniture and precious flooring.

For its high resistance to water and humidity it is also used for the construction of vessels and window frames subject to harsh climates.

The “grill” accommodates up to 7 various sizes of knives, safely and easily accessible on your counter or dining table. The knife block is designed with no closed slots or holes that can collect any dust or grime.

Maintenance guide: Rub periodically with mineral oil, it is very easy to maintain and keep clean. On the bottom of the knife block felt dots are added for stability.
